WooCommerce & E-commerce

Omnalingo translates WooCommerce stores out of the box — product content, shop and archive pages, the cart and checkout, transactional emails, and the live cart experience. The same approach covers other e-commerce plugins (Easy Digital Downloads, SureCart, and similar) since they render to standard WordPress output.

  • Product content — titles, descriptions, short descriptions, categories, and tags are ordinary WordPress content. Make sure Products is enabled under Settings → General → Sitemap Content Settings so they’re included.
  • Shop, cart, and checkout pages — treated as regular pages and translated the same way.
  • WooCommerce interface strings — “Add to cart”, “Proceed to checkout”, order statuses, error messages and the like come from WooCommerce’s own text. Omnalingo picks them up automatically; anything WooCommerce’s official language files already cover is reused, and only the gaps go to AI translation.
  • Cart & checkout blocks and the mini-cart — the modern React-rendered cart and checkout, and the slide-out mini-cart, are translated automatically from the first render.
  • AJAX updates — adding to cart, changing quantities, or applying a coupon updates the page via AJAX; Omnalingo translates the new content as it appears, so the flow stays in the right language.
  • Product reviews — the review-count link (e.g. “40 customer reviews”) is kept as a single unit with its number preserved. Reviewer names are left untranslated by design, since they’re personal data.

Open any WooCommerce page in the Visual Editor — from the Sitemap row’s actions menu, choose Open in Live Editor — and translate it like any other page, by hand or with Translate page. WooCommerce’s interface strings appear in the editor and lists alongside your own content.

Omnalingo also translates transactional emails — order confirmations, receipts, shipping notices, and the like — so customers hear from you in their language, not just browse in it. Email translation currently works for WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads emails.
