Manual vs. AI Translation
Omnalingo separates two things that are easy to confuse: adding a language so you can edit it by hand, and enabling AI translation for that language. Once the difference is clear, what your plan includes makes a lot more sense.
| Free | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Languages for manual editing | 1 | 130+ |
| AI translation | 2,000-word trial (one language) | One language pack included; extra packs €3/month each |
Manual editing
Section titled “Manual editing”Adding a language lets you type or paste translations yourself in the Live Editor. Every language you add counts toward your manual-editing limit — one on Free, 130+ on Pro. Manual editing never uses AI and has no word cost.
AI translation
Section titled “AI translation”AI translation is what turns your content into another language automatically. It needs a connected Omnalingo API key:
- On Free, a connected key includes a one-time 2,000-word trial so you can judge the quality.
- On Pro, AI translation for a language is unlocked by a language pack. Pro includes one pack; add more languages with extra packs at €3/month each.
A language pack covers a language for as long as your subscription is active, with a generous yearly allowance.
What happens on Free, or when Pro lapses
Section titled “What happens on Free, or when Pro lapses”If you’re on Free — or a Pro subscription ends — Omnalingo never hides what you’ve already built:
- Your site drops to the Free limit of one manually editable language.
- Any extra languages stay listed but locked in the admin — you can’t add new translations for them until you resubscribe.
- Visitors keep seeing every existing translation. Nothing on the frontend breaks.
- AI translation pauses until a key with capacity is connected again.
Your translations live in your own WordPress database, so they’re always yours.
- Translating Your Site — run AI translation and keep it in sync.
- Managing Languages — add languages, slugs, and display order.
