Troubleshooting
Most Omnalingo issues fall into one of a handful of common categories. Before digging into a specific symptom guide, run through this quick checklist — it catches the most frequent problems in under a minute.
Quick Checks
Section titled “Quick Checks”1. Is your API key active? Go to Omnalingo → Settings → License and confirm a plan name is shown. If it says “No key” or shows an error, your key needs to be entered or renewed. See License & API Key.
2. Did you run a scan? Translations can only be generated for content that has been scanned. Open the Omnalingo dashboard and check whether your pages show a scan status. If not, start a scan from the dashboard.
3. Is the target language added and active? Go to Omnalingo → Settings → Languages and confirm the language you’re testing is listed and toggled on. The Free Forever plan supports 1 target language and up to 2,000 AI-translated words; manual editing is unlimited. Pro supports 130+ languages for manual editing, with AI auto-translation enabled per language via language packs (1 included, extras at €3/month).
4. Did you clear your cache? Caching plugins (WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, W3 Total Cache, etc.) can serve old pages that don’t include translations. Clear your cache after each scan or translation run.
5. Are you visiting the correct URL?
Translated pages are served at a language-prefixed URL. French content, for example, lives at /fr/your-page/ — not /your-page/. Make sure you’re testing the right address.
