Plans & Pricing

Omnalingo has two plans: Free Forever and Pro. Free is genuinely free with no trial expiry. Pro is billed yearly and adds AI auto-translation at scale, more languages, and advanced settings.

Free ForeverPro
PriceFree€8 / month (billed yearly)

URL Slug Translation✓ (Pro plugin required)

The Free plan gives you one target language with full manual editing. You also get a 2,000-word AI auto-translation budget — useful for getting a quick first-pass translation without any manual work.

When the 2,000 words are used up, AI auto-translation stops but manual editing continues without limit. You can still refine every translated string by hand.

Getting started is instant. Generate a free API key in one click from within the plugin — no account, no credit card required.

Pro costs €8/month, billed yearly. It includes:

  • One language pack — activates AI auto-translation for one target language.
  • 130+ languages for manual editing — add as many languages as you need; manual editing has no cap.
  • Plan-gated settings — Glossary, AI Tone, Audience, and Business Description all become active.

Upgrade from within the plugin: go to Omnalingo → Settings → License and click Upgrade to Pro. Payment is handled by Stripe.

A language pack activates AI auto-translation for one specific target language.

Without a pack, a language is available for manual editing but Omnalingo will not automatically translate new content for it. With a pack, any content discovered through a valid scan action is automatically queued for translation.

AI auto-translation is not passive — it fires when you (or another admin) interact with content in one of these ways:

  • Opening a page in the live editor
  • Clicking re-count words on one page or in bulk from the page list
  • Clicking Translate on any page (a scan always runs first)

The live editor is the most thorough path: it can find strings that only appear through user interaction (AJAX panels, modals, cart updates, form responses) — things a server-side scan can miss.

Extra packs cost €3/month each, billed yearly. They are purchased from Omnalingo → Settings → License, where you can see which packs are active and add more.

Each pack is tied to one target language. If you want AI auto-translation in French and German, you need two packs.

Each language pack covers up to 1 million words translated for that language. This limit is very rarely reached — 1 million words is an enormous amount of content for a single language.

The word count for each pack is only shown in the admin when approximately 85% of the ceiling is used. If you never see a usage bar for your language packs, that’s expected and means you’re well within the limit.

The following settings are visible in the free plugin’s admin UI but only take effect on a Pro account. The middleware enforces this server-side — the fields can be filled in on any plan, but they are only applied to translations when a Pro subscription is active.

SettingWhat it does
GlossaryDefine source → target term pairs that the AI will always honour.
AI ToneSet the writing style — how direct, warm, or technical the translations sound.
AudienceDescribe your readers so the AI can adapt vocabulary and assumed prior knowledge.
Business DescriptionGive the AI context about your business to improve vocabulary accuracy.

If a customer fills these fields in and says “they aren’t working,” confirm that their Pro plan is active and the license key has been refreshed at Omnalingo → Settings → License.

Two features require not just a Pro plan but also the Pro plugin — a separate plugin file that extends the free plugin via WordPress hooks without modifying its code.

  • Language Suggestion Banner — A dismissible prompt shown to visitors whose browser language differs from the current page language.
  • URL Slug Translation — Lets you set per-language translated URL slugs (e.g. /fr/a-propos/ instead of /fr/about/). Automatically creates a 301 redirect when a slug is changed.

Installing the Pro plugin without an active Pro plan is harmless. Both features check the plan gate before activating.
