What Is Omnalingo?

Omnalingo is a WordPress plugin that translates your site into multiple languages. Unlike plugins that translate on the fly as visitors load pages, Omnalingo does all the work in advance — discovering your content, extracting the text, and generating translations before any visitor arrives. Serving a translated page is then a simple read operation with no speed penalty.

The Three-Phase Workflow

Every Omnalingo translation project follows the same three steps, all triggered from the dashboard — nothing happens automatically until you choose to run it.

1. Gather

Omnalingo scans your WordPress site’s structure and builds a list of every URL that should be translated — pages, posts, product pages, category archives, and more. You stay in control: you choose which content types to include, and you can exclude specific URLs if needed.

2. Scan

For each URL in the list, Omnalingo opens the page and reads everything a visitor would see: body text, headings, buttons, menu items, form labels, theme strings, and plugin strings. The result is a complete inventory of every piece of text on your site, with a word count so you know what you’re working with.

3. Translate

You send your scanned strings to Omnalingo’s cloud service, which uses AI to generate translations. Translations are stored in your WordPress database and are available immediately. You can also edit any translation manually — your edits are always preserved and never overwritten by AI.

What Makes Omnalingo Different

A workflow that is built around automation. Omnalingo handles discovery, extraction, and AI translation automatically — you kick off each phase, and the plugin does the work. Manual intervention is always available, but the default path requires minimal effort.

No speed impact on your site. Translations are pre-computed and stored. When a visitor loads a translated page, Omnalingo swaps in the stored translations in milliseconds. The scanning and translation work never runs on visitor-facing requests.

Your data stays in your database. Translations are stored in your WordPress database, not on external servers. You can back them up, migrate them, and keep full ownership.
